Pietersen missing for Hampshire

Kevin Pietersen has been overlooked by Hampshire for Sunday's meeting with Kent in the Clydesdale Bank 40
Kevin Pietersen will play no part in Hampshire’s Clydesdale Bank 40 match against Kent at Canterbury this weekend.
The England batsman, who will leave Hampshire at the end of the season, will not be included in Sunday’s squad following discussions between the county and England team director Andy Flower.
Hampshire chairman Rod Bransgrove said: “I would like to express my thanks to Andy Flower for agreeing to this sensible decision and wish him, Kevin and the rest of the England team the very best for their forthcoming internationals."
Pietersen can expect to be back in action next Thursday when the npower Test series between England and Pakistan gets under way at Trent Bridge.
