Six sign Hampshire deals
Hampshire have made moves to keep their squad together by tying down six players on new contracts.
England seamer Chris Tremlett, Michael Carberry and Michael Lumb have signed three-year deals keeping them at the Rose Bowl until 2011.
Jimmy Adams, Chris Benham and David Balcombe have also committed their future to the club for the next two seasons.
“I am delighted that this group of players have extended their contracts,” said team manager Giles White.
“They are all highly valued by the club and it is hoped that they will form the core of the side for years to come.”
Hampshire have also handed 12-month development contracts to Academy graduates Tom Parsons, Ben Howell, James Vince, Chris Morgan and England Under-19 international Hamza Riazzudin.
White added: “These young players are a product of our Academy. We have talent coming through and this is testament to the good foundations in place at Hampshire.”
