Weather forces Kent to return home
Kent have announced that tomorrow's Friends Life t20 opener against Sussex will be played at Canterbury after flash flooding at Tunbridge Wells.
The game against the Sharks was due to go ahead at Nevill Road, but the wet weather has ensured the surface is unplayable.
Instead, Kent will return home for the clash, which will be played under floodlights at 7pm.
Kent Cricket chief executive officer Jamie Clifford commented: "I am sorry for those who were planning to come to The Nevill tomorrow for the start of our Twenty20 campaign.
“The weather conditions at Tunbridge Wells have been extreme and we have been left with no option but to switch the fixture to Canterbury.
"I hope that many will still be able to make it to the game, but for those who cannot we will offer a full refund.
“The game will start at 7pm and be played under lights to allow increased travel time. We will also offer the advance ticket price on the gates tomorrow for all, £20 adults and £5 juniors."
