Kent has announced Alister Dunning is to take over from Carl Openshaw as their president for 2010.
69-year-old Dunning, who comes from a legal and management background, has held numerous voluntary positions at the county in the past including a long spell as honorary treasurer between 1998 and 2009.
Dunning said: "I have been a supporter of Kent since I was first brought to the St Lawrence Ground as a child by my father.
I am thrilled and honoured by my appointment as the club's next president. I look forward very much to continuing to support the club during my year in office."
Openshaw, Kent's president for 2009, added: "I am delighted that Alister has agreed to be Kent's President for 2010.
“He has given outstanding service to the club over many years in his role as treasurer and his advice and support to his colleagues on the committee has been invaluable.
“I wish him every success for the year ahead and look forward to introducing him as my successor at the AGM in March 2010."
