Kent let Edwards go

Seamer Phil Edwards departs Kent after finding first-team opportunities harder to come by this summer compared to last
Kent have released seamer Phil Edwards, who made just one competitive appearance this season.
The 26-year-old departs with immediate effect, having failed to build on a promising 2009 campaign in which he played four LV= County Championship and seven NatWest Pro40 games.
A second XI regular, his only competitive outing this summer came in the championship encounter with Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge, when he returned first-innings figures of 1-77 off 14 overs.
Kent team director Paul Farbrace said: “I would like to thank Phil for the contribution that he has made.
"He wants to stay in the game so we wish him well and hope that he is successful in his future career.”
