Middlesex announce pre-season plans

After ending 2011 on a high, Middlesex are now gearing up for the new domestic season and have announced details of four friendlies
Middlesex have revealed they will play friendlies against three counties, and a Middlesex County Cricket League representative XI, in the build-up to the new domestic season.
Neil Dexter’s side, promoted from Division Two of the LV= County Championship as champions in 2011, will face Kent at Beckenham on Friday 23 March, before taking on the MCCL representative XI the following day.
Essex will be their next opposition at Chelmsford on March 26, in a fixture that had been previously announced, before Middlesex round off their preparations with a visit to Northamptonshire’s Wantage Road ground on April 3.
The start times of all four matches have yet to be confirmed. Ealing Cricket Club has been pencilled in as the provisional venue for the MCCL fixture.
