Vaughan in Yorkshire return

Michael Vaughan returns to the Yorkshire side for the game for the first time since relinquishing the England Test captaincy in the LV County Championship Division One match against Kent at Scarborough.

Chris Taylor makes way for the experienced batsman as he is suffering from a hamstring problem which he niggled in the first practice session at Scarborough.

Adam Lyth is likely to play on what is his home ground - the first time he will have done so for Yorkshire.

Matthew Hoggard also returns to the squad, with David Wainwright included as an extra spin option.

Darren Gough will lead the side as he begins to wind down his professional career.

Kent are missing hard-hitting all-rounder Justin Kemp for their after he pulled up lame in the NatWest Pro40 match against the same opponents.

They are also missing Pakistan all-rounders Azhar Mahmood and Yasir Arafat, giving a chance to Amjad Khan who is returning after a long spell on the sidelines.

Neil Dexter is likely to come into the side for Kemp, with Robbie Joseph set to lead the attack once more after an impressive few weeks in all competitions.

Martin Saggers and Simon Cook will be competing for the final place in the XI.
