Lungley comes to Lancashire's aid
Lancashire have brought in Derbyshire seamer Tom Lungley on a four-week loan as cover for a spate of injuries and international call-ups for their bowlers.
The 30-year-old right-arm medium-pacer and left-handed tailend batsman, who made his Derbyshire debut in 2000, is available immediately to the Red Rose county.
Lancashire cricket director Mike Watkinson said: “Injuries are a part of sport, but to have the majority of our bowlers in the treatment room at the one time is extremely unlucky.
“We have played a lot of cricket this season and have some big matches coming up over the next few weeks, so we’ve had no option but to look outside our ranks for personnel.
“Fortunately for us, Tom was available and I’d like to thank John Morris at Derbyshire for agreeing to release him to us for this period.
“Tom is an experienced bowler who has a good track record in county cricket and will be a welcomed addition to the Lancashire squad for the next month.”
