Mullaney opts for pastures new

Steven Mullaney has limited opportunities in the Lancashire first team, especially in LV= County Championship Division One
Steven Mullaney is set to leave Lancashire after turning down a new two-year contract.
The 22-year-old all-rounder, a product of the Lancashire Academy and a prolific scorer in the second XI, will pursue opportunities elsewhere after making just three competitive first-team appearances this season.
The best of those was in the NatWest Pro40 against Kent at Old Trafford when he took 3-36 in seven overs en route to a 25-run win.
“Steven felt he would like explore first-team opportunities elsewhere,” a club statement read.
"Lancashire would like to thank Steven for his contributions over the past four seasons and wish him all the best for the future.”
