Lancashire reveal Tattersall death

Lancashire have announced Roy Tattersall has passed away at the age of 89.
The former off-spinner was a key member of the Red Rose team that won the County Championship in 1950, sharing the title with Surrey.
He was named the Cricket Writers' Young Player of the Year in that title-winning season after taking 193 wickets at an average of only 13.59.
In his Lancashire career, Tattersall claimed a total of 1,168 wickets at 17.39 in 277 first-class games between 1948 and 1960.
He also represented England in 16 Tests between 1951 and 1954, making his debut against Australia at Adelaide.
A statement on the county’s website read: “He will be greatly missed by everyone at Old Trafford, and our condolences go to his family and friends.”
