Old Trafford

Old Trafford is heading for a sell-out for the NatWest Series one-day international between England and Australia on July 10

Lancashire have reported brisk ticket sales for England’s limited-overs internationals with Australia and South Africa at Old Trafford this summer.

Over 7,000 for the NatWest Series one-day international against Australia on Tuesday 10 July have been bought in the first few days of general sale. They are also going quickly for the NatWest International T20 versus South Africa on Monday 10 September.

Lancashire commercial director Geoff Durbin said: “We are delighted with the ticket sales for both games, which illustrate the desire and appreciation people in this part of the country have for international cricket.

“Old Trafford is currently undergoing a transformation, which will see the ground become one of the best venues for cricket in the country in time for the Ashes next year. Until the redevelopment is completed, our usual crowd capacity will be significantly lower.

“Therefore, we urge those who are interested in watching England play this summer to purchase their tickets as soon as possible; the Australia game is heading towards a very quick sell-out while sales for the South Africa game are also strong.”

Tickets, which start from £45 for adults and from £10 for under-16s, can be purchased by phone on 0161 282 4040 or 08 444 999 666 (24 hours-a-day), or online at www.lccc.co.uk.
