Boyce extends Leicestershire stay
Matthew Boyce has become the latest player to commit his future to Leicestershire.
The batsman, who passed 5,000 runs in all competitions for the club this summer, is the sixth player to sign a contract in the past week, following in the footsteps of Michael Thornely, Rob Taylor, James Sykes, Angus Robson and Ollie Freckingham.
Boyce, 27, will now remain at Grace Road until the end of 2014, having contributed regular runs in LV= County Championship and limited-overs cricket this summer.
Chief executive Mike Siddall said: “We’re delighted that Matthew has agreed to continue his career with Leicestershire.
“He’s had an excellent season in all forms of the game and the team has really benefited from his experience.”
