Wells signs on at Leicestershire
Leicestershire have continued their recruitment for next season by handing Tom Wells, son of former England rugby union coach and Leicester Tigers captain John Wells, his first professional contract at Grace Road.
The all-rounder, who has impressed in the Leicestershire second XI this term, follows in the footsteps of Matthew Boyce, Michael Thornely, Rob Taylor, James Sykes, Angus Robson and Ollie Freckingham, who have all committed their futures to the club over the last few days.
Leicestershire chief executive Mike Siddall said: "Tom has made a real impact this season in second XI cricket. He deserves a chance to prove he can step up a level to the first-team squad."
