Adam Rossington

England Under-19 wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Rossington has signed a contract extension to remain at Middlesex until 2013

Adam Rossington has signed a one-year contract extension at Middlesex.

The 18-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman will remain at Lord’s until the end of the 2013 season.

Rossington, an England Under-19 international, featured four times in the Friends Life t20 last season and also played against Sri Lanka in a tour match.

Middlesex’s managing director of cricket Angus Fraser said: “Adam is one of the most promising young wicketkeeper-batsmen in the country.

“Like a lot of young cricketers there are aspects of his game that need improving on but, now that he has finished at Mill Hill School he can commit fully to cricket, I am sure he will develop quickly.

“Adam showed us all the brand of cricket he is capable of playing on several occasions in the second XI in 2011 and he has the potential to become a fine player.”
