England batsman Andrew Strauss and Twenty20 Cup hero Tyron Henderson have committed their futures to Middlesex.
Strauss has extended his contract until the end of the 2010 season and been awarded a benefit year in 2009.
Henderson, a crucial member of their Twenty20 Cup winning side where his big hitting was crucial in the semi-final against Durham, will remain at the club until September next year - subject to an extension to his current work permit.
Strauss made his county debut in 1997, first-class debut in 1998 and was capped by the club in 2001.
Henderson, who has played a single Twenty20 international for South Africa, said: “It's been a fantastic year for me at Middlesex, and with such an exciting, talented young squad.
“I'm really looking forward to our winter tournaments in Antigua and India, and to helping Middlesex achieve more silverware in 2009.”
