Middlesex issue parking notice
Spectators planning to attend day three of Middlesex’s LV= County Championship match against Nottinghamshire have been advised to avoid travelling to Uxbridge Cricket Club by car.
Heavy rainfall has left the normal parking facilities unusable, although an alternative option has been arranged for the weekend.
A club statement read: “Due to the volume of rain that has fallen upon Uxbridge in recent days, the normal parking facilities that are available for spectators at Uxbridge Cricket Club's Park Road Ground are regrettably unusable due to the extremely wet ground conditions.
"The club is doing all that it can to secure alternative safe and secure parking for spectators ... for Friday July 13 2012.
“We strongly recommend that anyone intending to attend the match at Uxbridge CC on Friday July 13 2012 should avoid travelling by car and make alternative arrangements to get to the ground.
“Alternative parking has already been arranged for the LV=CC match on Saturday July 14 and the CB40 match (against Leicestershire) on Sunday July 15, so spectators intending to come to Uxbridge CC on these days are not affected by this notice.”
