Northants net facility boost

Work on self-contained grass outdoor nets at Wantage Road will get under way this month, Northamptonshire have announced.

The county hope the facilities will boost their ability to host matches featuring high-quality touring sides, while enhancing their own players at all levels.

Chief executive David Smith said of the nets: “This facility will provide the club with another fantastic asset for all cricket playing visitors to the County Ground, and forms a major part of our long-term plans for all cricket in Northamptonshire.”
