White agrees Northants FLt20 return
Former Australia Twenty20 captain Cameron White is to play for Northamptonshire in the Friends Life t20 for a second straight year, the county have announced.
The 29-year-old batting all-rounder starred for the Steelbacks last season with 228 runs at an average of 57 and strike-rate of 131, although they managed just one FLt20 win.
White, who bowls occasional leg-spin, was Australia T20 skipper in 2011 and last represented them in the 2012 World Twenty20. He has 38 T20 international caps along with 87 in one-day internationals and four in Tests.
White has also played T20 cricket for Deccan Chargers, Melbourne Stars, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Somerset and Victoria. He has featured in 146 T20 matches, making 3,197 runs at an average of 30.4 and a strike-rate of 132.3 with a high score of 141 not out.
Northants chief executive David Smith said: "We are delighted to welcome Cameron back to the County Ground this season, especially after his contribution with the bat last year."
