Carter gets new Notts deal
Nottinghamshire have handed seamer Andy Carter a new three-year contract.
The 24-year-old claimed 25 LV= County Championship wickets in just nine appearances last season and has been rewarded with a new deal.
“Andy has progressed nicely and I hope that he can establish himself as one of our senior bowlers during the term of this contract,” said Nottinghamshire director of cricket Mick Newell.
“This has been a breakthrough season for him after a period where injuries were disrupting his progress and he now has a good understanding of how to prepare himself for the rigours of the season.
“He has an unusual action with good pace and an aggressive bouncer and he has the potential to get better and better.”
“I’ve been pleased to stay fit all season and be in the side in all formats but I feel that there is more to come from me,” added Carter.
“I’ve worked hard on my strength and fitness and in time I would like to lead the attack.”
