Hendrick and Afford return to Notts

Mike Hendrick played in 30 Tests and 22 one-day internationals before representing Nottinghamshire between 1982 and 1984
Nottinghamshire have appointed former players Mike Hendrick and Andy Afford as part-time bowling coaches.
Hendrick replaces Andy Pick, who has taken on a role with the ICC in Canada, as seam bowling coach while Afford will work with the county’s spinners.
Hendrick played 30 Tests and 22 one-day internationals for England from 1973 to 1981, before the seamer enjoyed a distinguished three-year spell at Trent Bridge from 1982.
The 1978 Wisden Cricketer of the Year was appointed Nottinghamshire team manager in 1992 and had a four-year spell as Derbyshire bowling coach, which ended a year ago.
Slow left-arm bowler Afford made 170 first-class appearances for his only major county from 1984 to 1996, taking 468 wickets.
Nottinghamshire director of cricket Mick Newell said: "We've got three relatively young spinners at the club in Graeme White, Samit Patel and Akhil Patel and I felt that it was important to appoint a coach who can give them the benefit of a wealth of experience and Andy fits that bill.
"These are part-time roles and I wanted to recruit local people with strong ties to the club. I'm very pleased with both appointments.
"Mike does a lot of work with the England age-group sides and is very well respected in the game."
