Notts confirm Barbados tour

Nottinghamshire have today confirmed a pre-season trip to Barbados. They will play one two-day match and two 40-over contests prior to competing in the Twenty20 Barbados Cup
Nottinghamshire have become the latest county to confirm they will be heading to Barbados as part of their pre-season preparations.
Chris Read’s side will depart for the Caribbean island on Thursday 15 March.
Warwickshire will represent their first opposition in a two-day match at Windward Cricket Club, with the two teams then meeting in a 40-over fixture at the same venue.
Another 40-over game, against Yorkshire at Four Square Cricket Club, will follow before Notts take on their hosts at the Kensington Oval in the Twenty20 Barbados Cup. They will then compete in the cup or plate competition depending on their result against Barbados.
“The fact that several counties will be on the same tour gives us access to quality pre-season fixtures in a competitive environment,” said Nottinghamshire director of cricket Mick Newell.
“The tour has run for a few years now and the feedback has been excellent so it’s pleasing that we are able to be involved and to compete for additional silverware.”
