Hampshire have named England U19 spinner Liam Dawson in their squad to face Somerset at the Rose Bowl in Division One of the LV County Championship.
Dawson has been included in the squad as seamer Chris Tremlett is unavailable due to England commitments with Kevin Pietersen’s Twenty20 and one-day squads.
Dawson, fresh from England duty himself, has made just two first-class appearances including one this season in the 10-wicket defeat to Sussex at Arundel last month.
Visitors Somerset have added three players to their squad for the trip to the Rose Bowl despite having no fresh injury concerns.
Batsman Wes Durston, leg-spinner Michael Munday and seamer Steffan Jones have all been added to the squad however coach Andy Hurry is expected to name an unchanged side from the one that drew with Surrey at Taunton last week.
Somerset, who trail leaders Nottinghamshire by just three points, will be looking for a win that would put them top of Division One.
