Batsmen James Hildreth and Arul Suppiah are to visit a spin clinic in India.
The Somerset duo will fly out to Pune for a 10-day training programme that will assist their batting against spin bowling.
Head coach Andy Hurry told Somerset’s official website: “James and Arul are going out to India to Pune to attend a spin camp run by Global Cricket.
“They will be there for 10 days and during that time they will get as much time batting against spin bowlers as they possibly can, as well as continuing with their gym programme while they are out there.
“They will also receive some top notch Indian batting coaching about the most effective way to play against spin.
“This is obviously a big thing in English cricket at the moment, being able to have a good defensive game against spin, so they are going out to develop that as well as their scoring options against spin bowling.”
