Somerset to alter Taunton pavilion
Somerset are set to replace Taunton’s Old Pavilion with a new development.
It is hoped work will commence in the latter half of the 2014 domestic campaign and be completed in time for the following season.
Chief executive Guy Lavender said: “This is a very exciting and important moment in the club’s history.

Taunton's Old Pavilion is set to undergo a development next year that is expected to be completed in time for the 2015 campaign
“We are determined to create a facility that provides a fantastic pavilion from which our members and supporters can enjoy all forms of the game.
“In particular this means high-quality, covered, raised seating behind the bowler’s arm and an excellent range of catering and beverage facilities.
“We will hold a number of open evenings during the season to give members the opportunity to review, comment on and influence the design of the new building.”
The club have also announced they will play a Yorkshire Bank 40 match against Yorkshire at Bath this season.
Somerset playing in Bath has been a tradition for over a century, but bad weather meant the match did not occur last year.
