Fortis clocks back on at Surrey
Surrey have announced Lee Fortis will return to the club as head groundsman and officially begin his role on April 30.
The 30-year-old left the position of assistant head groundsman in 2006 and has since tended to the city ground of the Honourable Artillery Company.

Lee Fortis will return to the Kia Oval to become Surrey's new head groundsman after Scott Patterson relinquished the role in February
He heads back to the Kia Oval to lead a team that includes former head groundsman Bill Gordon, who remains at the club in a consultancy role and has led the groundstaff in the interim period following the recent departure of Scott Patterson.
Fortis said: “It will be good to return to the Kia Oval and an honour to once again work at such an historic ground and be part of a successful Surrey cricket club.”
Chief executive Richard Gould added: “The job of head groundsman at the Kia Oval is never an easy one, but in Lee Fortis I believe we have found a formidable candidate that will be able to provide consistently world-class wickets for many seasons to come.”
