Delhi swoop for Pietersen

Kevin Pietersen is "looking forward to a wonderful time with the Delhi Daredevils" after joining the franchise from Deccan Chargers
England batsman Kevin Pietersen is set to represent Delhi Daredevils in this year’s Indian Premier League after completing a transfer from rival franchise Deccan Chargers.
Pietersen, who has previously represented Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Twenty20 competition, was unable to play for Deccan last year after undergoing surgery on a double hernia.
He will now line up for a new team when the fifth edition of the IPL begins in April, and admits he is looking forward to joining forces with India opener Virender Sehwag, the Daredevils captain.
“I am looking forward to a wonderful time with the Delhi Daredevils. It will be a great experience to be playing in the same squad as Sehwag,” said Pietersen.
The first window for trading between IPL franchises closes on January 20. Pietersen is the third player to have switched teams thus far, with Dinesh Kartik moving from Kings XI Punjab to Mumbai Indians in a deal which sees Rajagopal Sathish heading in the opposite direction.
