Arun Harinath and Gary Wilson have become the latest players to pen new contracts at the Kia Oval.

In a week which had already seen six youngsters - Rory Burns, Zafar Ansari, Tom Jewell, Freddie van den Bergh, George Edwards and Dominic Sibley - commit their future to the club, Surrey have now kept hold of two further men with their best years seemingly ahead of them.

Harinath, 25, who averaged 37 in the LV= County Championship this summer with the aid of two centuries, has signed a two-year deal.

Ireland wicketkeeper-batsman Wilson, meanwhile, will stay at the club for a further 12 months, the 26-year-old having impressed in the 2012 Friends Life t20.

"Surrey is where I have played all my cricket and I am delighted to have signed a new deal," said top-order batsman Arun Harinath

Harinath said: “Surrey is where I have played all my cricket and I am delighted to have signed a new deal.

“Last season finished really well for me and scoring my maiden first-class hundred was a special moment. I am now looking forward to working hard over the winter and preparing for the challenges ahead of us in 2013.”

Wilson, who will continue to battle for the gloves with Steven Davies, added: “I am really pleased to have signed a new contract and I am looking forward to the 2013 campaign where hopefully I can pick up where I left off last season.”
