Nash injury not as bad as feared

Chris Nash was taken to hospital for X-rays after colliding with team-mate Dwayne Smith at Canterbury yesterday
Chris Nash could be back in action in 10 days after Sussex confirmed he did not break a leg in a freak fielding collision with team-mate Dwayne Smith yesterday.
The pair collided in the outfield, attempting to catch Kent’s Geraint Jones in the Twenty20 match at Canterbury - which the hosts won by five wickets.
A club statement today read: “Chris was taken to hospital with a suspected fracture, but X-rays to the leg revealed that there was no break, but deep tissue damage and Chris was discharged last evening.
“Early estimations are that Chris will be out for 10 to 14 days.”
That time frame could put Nash in contention for Sussex’s LV County Championship game at Worcestershire, which starts on June 11.
