Rikki Clarke has committed his future to Warwickshire by signing a new two-year contract.
The former Derbyshire and Surrey all-rounder has been at Edgbaston since 2008 and has played a vital role in their push for the LV= County Championship title this season with 41 wickets in 13 matches.
Clarke, 29, is having a successful season in all formats and was the leading wicket-taker for Warwickshire - with 12 - in the Clydesdale Bank 40.
He equalled the world record of seven catches in an innings in the championship clash against Lancashire last month.
Director of cricket Ashley Giles said: “It’s excellent news that Rikki has committed his future to Warwickshire as he is such an important part of our squad for the future.
“We have some crucial games ahead of us as we target the last few fixtures of the county programme, and our eyes are firmly fixed on the title.”
