Edgbaston seats released

Warwickshire

Edgbaston

Next season will be the first time that Edgbaston hosts England in all three forms of the game, with adult tickets starting from £35

Tickets for England’s matches at Edgbaston next summer have today gone on sale to Warwickshire members and those who bought 2010 Test or Friends Life t20 finals days tickets there.

Edgbaston will host England’s third Test from June 7 in the summer’s opening series against West Indies, a NatWest Series one-day international on July 4 versus Australia and a NatWest T20 international on September 12 with South Africa.

Edgbaston has today released booking forms in application brochures sent to individuals concerned. To ensure priority booking, these need to be returned to the club before the remaining tickets for the Test and T20 go on general sale on November 8.

Tickets for the ODI go on general sale on December 5 and, until then, are only available to customers who buy a Test ticket.

Next season will be the first time that Edgbaston hosts England in all three forms of the game, with adult tickets starting from £35 for the T20, £45 for the Test and £60 for the ODI. Edgbaston is again offering its ‘kids for a quid’ deal for the Test and T20, while group discounts are available for all three fixtures.

Colin Povey, Warwickshire’s chief executive, said: “It’s been well documented how much the England team love playing at Edgbaston because of the great atmosphere that fans generate as well as the team’s excellent record; just one Test match defeat here in the last 10 years.

“More than 110,000 spectators joined us across the five major match days in 2011, to make the opening of the new Pavilion End a great occasion for all who attended. And to thank Warwickshire members and our regular major match attendees for their continued support, we’re rewarding them with the first chance to secure their tickets before general sale begins.

“The new Pavilion End has transformed Edgbaston into one of the leading stadiums in international cricket, which offers some of the best facilities available to players, spectators and officials that will be enjoyed by many more people in 2012.”
