Holmes action under scrutiny

Maurice Holmes has been reported for a suspected illegal bowling action by two different umpires in two separate matches
Warwickshire off-spinner Maurice Holmes has been reported with a suspected illegal bowling action during the Clydesdale Bank 40 match between Warwickshire and Leicestershire on May 1 2011 and the Second Xl Trophy match between Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire on June 13 2011.
Holmes has now been reported by two different umpires in two separate matches within a period of 12 months.
The umpires in question will now be shown any available reports and image-based evidence of Holmes and asked whether they wish to confirm their original reports.
Should there be no previous evidence available or should the umpires confirm their original reports, Holmes’ bowling action will be subject to the independent analysis process set out in the ECB regulations for the review of bowlers reported with suspected illegal bowling actions. This analysis must take place within 21 days of the second report being received by Warwickshire.
Details of the ECB regulations for the review of bowlers reported with suspected illegal bowling actions can be found at www.ecb.co.uk/ecb/rules/regulations-for-the-review-of-bowlers-reported-with-suspected-illegal-bowling-actions,508,BP.html.
