More injury woe for Metters

Warwickshire spinner Chris Metters saw his 2012 campaign ruined by injury and is now set to endure another spell on the sidelines
Warwickshire will continue to be without Chris Metters for a lengthy period after the left-arm spinner was forced to undergo further shoulder surgery.
Metters, 22, impressed after breaking into Warwickshire’s team in 2011, claiming 29 first-class wickets at an average of 24.
However, he was unable to feature last year due to injury and has now suffered a recurrence of the same shoulder problem.
Warwickshire director of cricket Dougie Brown told the club’s official website: “It’s obviously disappointing for Chris as he had been training really well over recent months.
“We will establish a further rehabilitation programme but initially he will need a period of rest before starting the hard work necessary to regain full fitness.”
