Ajmal set to rejoin Worcestershire

Saeed Ajmal, who claimed a career-best 7-55 on Tuesday versus England in Dubai, is set to rejoin Worcestershire for the Friends Life t20
Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal has made a verbal agreement to represent Worcestershire in the Friends Life t20 again this season, according to the county.
The 34-year-old, who took a career-best 7-55 on Tuesday in the first Test with England at Dubai, played for Worcestershire in all three competitions last season in a spell from June 25 to August 13.
Ajmal, ranked the world’s best one-day bowler, claimed 17 wickets in three LV= County Championship games, 16 in eight FLt20 matches and eight in three Clydesdale Bank 40 contests.
Worcestershire revealed earlier this month they are hoping to re-sign Ajmal for the the FLt20 after Pakistan's tour of Sri Lanka ends in June, and now believe they are on the verge of doing so.
Worcestershire chief executive David Leatherdale said: “We have spoken to Saeed. We have put an offer on the table with him and his representative.
“The signs are that Saeed is very keen to come back and has verbally agreed terms with us for the Twenty20 in June and July. But we will take nothing for granted until the i’s have been dotted and the t’s have been crossed.
“Everyone knows the impact he made for us last season. He is a class act and has continued to show that in Test and one-day cricket for his country.”
