D'Oliveira and Harrison pen new deals
Young bowling pair Nick Harrison and Brett D'Oliveira have signed new one-year contracts with Worcestershire.
The duo, both 19, have risen through the ranks at the academy and are currently on summer contracts at New Road.
Seamer Harrison and leg-spinner D'Oliveira have mainly represented Worcestershire’s second XI this season, but the former made his first-team debut in the Clydesdale Bank 40 match at Derbyshire earlier this month.
Harrison has gone on to make two more senior appearances in the competition, while D'Oliveira, who is also a useful middle-order batsman, will hope to follow in the footsteps of father Damian and grandfather Basil in representing the club.
Director of cricket Steve Rhodes said: "The two young lads are products of our academy who have taken well to life as professional cricketers in 2011.
“Becoming full professionals is in response to the improvement both players have made during their scholarship year, both on the field with their cricket and their preparation off it. We look forward to welcoming them on the full professional staff."
