Worcs reveal pre-season plans

New Road will host two of Worcestershire's pre-season matches, against Glamorgan on March 26 and Gloucestershire on March 31

Worcestershire have confirmed their pre-season schedule, which features four games against other first-class counties.

They will play two two-day matches, against Somerset at Taunton and Essex at Chelmsford, and other two one-day contests at New Road, versus Glamorgan and Gloucestershire. Admission for both home games is free.

Worcestershire’s first competitive encounter is with Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge in the LV= County Championship from April 5.

Worcestershire pre-season itinerary:

March 22-23: vs Somerset, Taunton, 11am start
March 26: vs Glamorgan, New Road, 11:30am
March 28-29: vs Essex, Chelmsford, 11am
March 31: vs Gloucestershire, New Road, 11am
