Andrew Crook has decided to look for another county after two seasons with Lancashire.

The 25-year-old off-spinning all-rounder, who made his debut in 2004, played in five first-class matches for Lancashire and 16 List A one-day games.

He said: “I have enjoyed my time with Lancashire but we have agreed that a move would help to further my first-class career.”

Crook will leave the county holding the club's record one-day score of 162 not out, claimed in a Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy game against Buckinghamshire last season at the private ground of Wormsley.

Lancashire have informed other counties that Andrew is available on loan or for trials for the remainder of this season.

Manager Mike Watkinson said: “Everyone at Old Trafford wishes him well.”

Australina-born Crook’s younger brother Steven left Old Trafford in 2005 to join Northamptonshire.
