Daggett set for Leicestershire bow

Lee Daggett is in line for his Leicestershire debut

Seam bowler Lee Daggett could make his Leicestershire debut in the LV County Championship Division Two game against Gloucestershire at Grace Road tomorrow.

Daggett was set to make his bow in the abandoned NatWest Pro40 match against Northants Steelbacks on Sunday.

The 25-year-old will now compete for a bowling slot after joining on loan from Warwickshire until the end of the season.

Nadeem Malik and Dillon du Preez should shake off knocks to take their places in the side.

Earlier in the season Gloucs had the better of a rain-affected draw at Cheltenham and both sides will be keen to gain a win to ensure neither finishes at the foot of the table.

Gloucestershire have included new signing Ian Saxelby in their ranks for the match against Leicestershire.

The 19-year-old made his championship debut against Middlesex in July having started the season on Nottinghamshire's books.

Gloucestershire were one of few counties to see much cricket last week, giving David Brown and William Portefield a chance to impress with the bat in making 68 and 69 respectively.

Captain Jon Lewis picked up five wickets as he continues to be a force to be reckoned with.
