Eckersley added to MCC party
Leicestershire wicketkeeper Ned Eckersley, a former MCC Young Cricketer, has completed the MCC squad for March’s Champion County game with Warwickshire in Abu Dhabi.
An initial party of 10 was named on January 23 and James Middlebrook was added five days later. Eckersley, who is set to keep wicket, takes MCC’s number to 13.
The 23-year-old, who joined Leicestershire in 2010 when he ended his spell as an MCC Young Cricketer, is set to play in the Emirates Airline Twenty20 Trophy on March 21 and 22 at 7he Sevens Stadium in Dubai and face Warwickshire from March 24-27 at the Zayed International Cricket Stadium.
