Essex have extended the loan of Kent batsman Neil Dexter for another month.
The 23-year-old arrived initially for the Twenty20 Cup but will now remain at the Ford County Ground until after the Natwest Pro40 match against Surrey on August 5.
Essex first-team coach Paul Grayson told Essex's website: “Firstly I would like to thank Kent for letting us have Neil for another month.
“We want to have a further look at Neil because we believe he is a talented player.
“We look forward to him making a good contribution over the next few weeks.”
