Flintoff awarded Lancs benefit
England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff has been awarded a benefit by Lancashire in 2006.
Flintoff, England’s hero in their amazing second Test win over Australia last week, will donate a share of the proceeds to various local and national charities.
The 27-year-old, who will make his 50th Test appearance against Australia at Old Trafford on Thursday, said: “I am delighted the club has bestowed such an honour on me and I am looking forward to helping raise plenty of funds for worthwhile causes.”
Flintoff made his Lancashire debut in 1995 and was awarded his county cap in 1998, the same year he made his first Test appearance.
