Olympic festivities prompt time change

Derbyshire’s Friends Life t20 clash with Leicestershire on Friday week will now start at 7:30pm.

The North Group encounter was originally due to get under way 30 minutes earlier but has been put back to support the Olympic Torch celebrations in Derby.

The club’s chief executive Simon Storey said: "I'm delighted that we were able to secure the agreement of ECB and Leicestershire to support us in the initiative.

“As a key sporting venue within the city, we are proud to play our part in Olympic Torch celebrations on what promises to be an evening of great festivity at the County Ground and across the city.”
