Friends Life t20 - format

In 2013 the domestic Twenty20 competition, the Friends Life t20, involves the 18 first-class counties divided into three geographical groups.

The top two teams in each group plus the two third-placed teams with the best records progress to the quarter-final stage.

The Friends Life t20 runs from June 26 where Hampshire v Surrey at the Ageas Bowl provides the opening action; the group stage ending until July 31, before quarter-finals August 6-8 - and Friends Life t20 finals day at Edgbaston on August 17.
