Bristol clash falls foul of the weather
Gloucestershire and the Welsh Dragons suffered huge frustration as their Friends Life t20 match at Bristol was abandoned without a ball bowled following a 6:30pm pitch inspection.
Heavy rain throughout the day had left the outfield saturated and, although the groundstaff worked tirelessly once it stopped, areas of the pitch were too wet for umpires to consider it safe for play.
Both sides needed the two points to build a challenge in the Midlands/Wales/West Group and, while Gloucestershire remain in contention, the Dragons now face an almost impossible task to reach the quarter-finals.
