Prior returns for Sussex
Matt Prior is set to make his first appearance for Sussex in this year's Friends Life t20 South Group against Essex this evening.
The England wicketkeeper has not featured since the rain-affected final Investec Test against West Indies at Edgbaston due to a minor Achilles strain, but is available for his county at Chelmsford.
Sussex are hoping to do the double over the Eagles and open up a four-point gap at the top in the process, following their 19-run victory in the reverse fixture at the PROBIZ County Ground on Sunday.
New Zealand international Scott Styris, who dislocated his thumb in the first meeting, could also be set to play against his former side providing he can pass a late fitness test.
Essex are hoping Owais Shah will be fit from the calf strain which has kept him sidelined.
The Eagles will be missing Alastair Cook and Ravi Bopara as they prepare for the first game in England's five-match Natwest Series with Australia, which begins at Lord's tomorrow.
