Another washout for Welsh Dragons
The Welsh Dragons’ Friends Life t20 clash with Worcestershire was abandoned without a ball bowled at the SWALEC Stadium because of rain.
Four of the Dragons’ eight games have now ended in a no result and their hopes of reaching the quarter-finals are over.
Worcestershire move to the top of the Midlands/West/Wales Group, however, and have a game in hand on Somerset and Warwickshire, who also boast 10 points.
The drizzle looked like it had cleared up in Cardiff and the umpires - Steve Garratt and Jeff Evans - had been getting ready for a seven-over contest starting at 8:15pm.
But when more heavy rain arrived at the ground they had no other option but to call the match off.
