Holders Essex in Lancashire re-match
Following the conclusion of the group stages in this year’s Friends Provident Trophy the ECB is delighted to confirm the line-up for the quarter-finals, which will take place on Saturday 23 May. Reserve day is Sunday 24 May.
Hampshire topped Group A and thus secured a home draw in their tie against Middlesex.
A tied result for Kent on the Duckworth-Lewis method against Warwickshire secured second-place for the Panthers in Group B, as they won more games than the Bears.
Somerset finished top of Group B to earn themselves a home draw against Sussex.
In Group C, Gloucestershire secured top spot. A decision will be made as to the arrangements for their quarter-final against Nottinghamshire tomorrow.
The NatWest series match between England and West Indies on Sunday precludes the Gladiators from playing their quarter-final at Bristol on Saturday.
The Outlaws clinched second place in Group A after Worcestershire were surprisingly beaten by Ireland in the final round of group games.
Lancashire finished top of the final group and so take home advantage against current holders Essex on Saturday.
The Eagles sealed second place in Group D after Glamorgan beat Derbyshire to put the Phantoms out of contention. The match will be a replay of the group stage matches which Essex won.

The ECB will confirm the arrangements for the quarter-final between Gloucestershire and Nottinghamshire tomorrow via press release. The Sky Sports televised fixture will also be announced tomorrow.
