The England and Wales Cricket Board is pleased to confirm the semi-final draw for this year’s Friends Provident Trophy, with both matches taking place on Sunday 5 July. July 6 is a reserve day.
Lancashire Lightning knocked out current holders Essex Eagles today at Old Trafford with a 67-run win and will take on Hampshire Hawks at home in the next stage of the competition.
The Hawks beat Middlesex Panthers by 44 runs at the Rose Bowl to secure their place in the semi-finals.
Sussex Sharks beat Somerset Sabres at Taunton by six wickets today and secured a home tie against either Gloucestershire Gladiators or Nottinghamshire Outlaws, who play their quarter-final on June 16 with June 17 as a reserve day.
