Rain prevented any play at Southgate on Sunday

Middlesex Crusaders' Friends Provident Trophy South East match against Sussex Sharks was called off without a ball being bowled due to torrential rain at Southgate.

The washout leaves Middlesex with two wins, three losses and no result from six games and still leaves Sussex rooted to the bottom of the table with only one win from their six matches.

Middlesex have two games left against Kent on Monday and then a final game at Lord’s against Essex on Wednesday which could see them looking to qualify for the quarter-finals depending on the results of Essex’s remaining games.

Meanwhile, Sussex will be hoping to get back to winning ways when the entertain Essex on Monday then travel to Surrey on Wednesday.
