Rain ruined Kent’s three-day game versus Cardiff MCCU at Canterbury, with the last two days washed out.

Daniel Bell-Drummond’s unbeaten 102 had allowed the hosts to declare on 333 for eight, which the students replied to with 33 for one by stumps on day one.

Unfortunately, no further play was possible in the first-class fixture. Kent’s opening LV= County Championship match is away to Leicestershire next week.
