Lancashire seamer Kyle Hogg will miss the start of the county season after breaking a finger in training.
The 24-year-old broke a metacarpal in the fifth finger of his left hand at fielding practice on Tuesday. Although the injury does not require surgery or a cast, he is expected to be out for four to five weeks.
Hogg had enjoyed a fruitful pre-season campaign, taking 4-29 against Essex in the Pro ARCH Trophy victory in Sharjah.
